How everything started?
Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Anderson has meet at a party in 1968 year and they decide to sing together, under “Bjorn&Benny” entitled! The destiny give them 2 greatest womens, that later after all, these 2 womens haved got to be theirs wifes: Aghneta Falkstog and Anni-Frid Lingvstad!
Those four they start to sing at the beginning of ‘70 years in cabaret show and in 1973 year they take part at the swedish preselection for Eurovision and they take only third place, with “Ring Ring” song, under Festfolk entitled. Audience protest because the votes they not belong to them and in the next year 1974, those four bring in under a new image, with a new name, less difficult, formed of theirs initials: Abba and they win the right to participate to Eurovision competition that was getting on in Brighton, Anglia.
In 6 april, 1974, Abba win Eurovision contest and gain Europa with “Waterloo” song! But the finaly devotion has been after 18 months with “S.O.S.” song, where Bjorn si Benny find their own melodie line! Not anywise, just through big efforts of 6 - 8 hours in studio at the piano and with a guitar in hand! After S.O.S song, next one is Fernanado, Mamma mia and in the last “Dancing Queen”.
The group start to change in a Abba-anger mania when in 1976, at an concert in londra was 3.5 millions request of tickets at 11.000 available places. In Australia the group was glad by a big popularity, first tour on this continent, and these become a big success. In the same place an emission with Abba had succeeded beyond our hopes of all long year.
The fame of group, make Lasse Hallström to produce a movie, that was entitled: “Abba - The Movie” in 1977, with the action of Australian tour.
