June:Photographs to Nbc tv the Special in Burbank, that one radiates on 3 December.With these Fernseh-show succeeds Presley a shining comeback, which at the same time the change from the musical rebel to the established, of the broad mass recognized “universe to American Boy” marked.

Presley gives in this year 138 concerts, of it to 114 in read Vegas.
January:Honor as one of the “ten outstanding young men Americas”, beside scientists and human rights activists, by the junior Chamber of Commerce (Jaycee) of the USA.
November:Premiere of the documentary film “Elvis - That’s The Way It Is”.

January:LP “I’m 10,000 Years old, Elvis Country”.
June:Presleys birth house in Tupelo becomes memorial place.

Presley Vegas gives 120. in this year 155 concerts, of it in read
January:The southern section of the Bellevue boulevard in Memphis (Highway 51), which Graceland leads past, in Elvis Presley boulevard one renames.
February:Separation from Priscilla Presley.
In the future again and again rumors over his fat craze, drug abuse, depressions and tablet craze become loud.

8. January:Governor Jimmy Carter (geb.1924) proclaims the “Elvis Presley day” in Georgia.
Presley gives 156 concerts, of it to 56 in read Vegas.
Presleys of health problems become also publicly apparent.

May:LP “From Elvis Presley boulevard, Memphis, threshing floor lake”.
June:Facelift in the Mid South hospital, Memphis.

In this year Presley gives 56 concerts.

29. April:Presley must be concert in Baltimore for health reasons to interrupt.
